MGSA Rainout Hotline

To determine whether MGSA games played at Freeman Park and Bennett Park have been cancelled due to bad weather, please call (651) 695-5629. The recorded message will say whether games at Bennett have been cancelled. Cancellation of games at Bennett will also apply to games at Freeman.

If games are to be cancelled, Bennett Park supervisors will make every effort to update the rainout hotline by  4 pm.

It is impossible to handle all weather events through the hotline. It works best for all-day rains where it is clear early in the day that games will have to be cancelled. It works poorly for sudden rain storms that occur just before game time. Sometimes games will have to be cancelled at the field by the umpires and/or coaches. When in doubt about the status of a game, it is best to go to the field for instructions.

For those teams with games at Guilliam Fields, there is a separate rainout number - (952) 988-8450. The Minnetonka Park & Rec department controls those fields and determines field playability independently of Bennett Park.
